Designed and built by an architect couple, the 3,350 square feet house is built out of timber and stone stilts with natural kempas and balau timber flooring. The entire home has large windows with old teak frames and a plunge pool in the middle of the house. The adjustable timber louvers in living and dining areas are made from woods salvaged from an old istana in Kuala Lipis, Pahang by a Kelantanis craftsman, while the guest bathroom has decorative tiles found in an old house in Malacca marked for demolition.
 
The home is a showcase of some of Malaysia's finest architectural heritage with each piece of antique sharing tales of the bygone era.
