It is a private estate located in the prestigious Batu Jimbar, the first villa estate built on the island in 1973. The estate was designed by the Sri Lankan Architect Geoffrey Bawa, one of the most important and influential Asian architects of the twentieth century and is characterized by sensitivity to the site and its context. When Villa Cinta was constructed a decade ago, it was designed by Popo Danes, an award-winning Indonesian architect who is well known for his voice and action in 'green architecture' and strong interest in preserving Bali's cultural soul.
